so under the leadership of a Reformed theologian who is known for his or
her expertise on the subject. This year’s colloquy will be led by Dr.
Nancy J. Duff, the Stephen Colwell Associate Professor of Christian
Ethics at Princeton Theological Seminary. The syllabus for the colloquy

| The Washington Barth Reading Group sponsored by the Reformed Institute of Metropolitan Washington Is
the work of Karl Barth the work of a modern day Luther? Does his work
present the kind of insights that can be useful in our preaching and
teaching? The sheer volume of Barth’s work presents daunting challenges
to the interested pastor, elder, and church member, especially if she or
he wants to find a community in which to share, discuss, and analyze
what is read. The Reformed Institute is attempting to meet this
challenge by establishing: “The Washington Barth Reading Group.” The
group meets on fourth Saturdays from 10 a.m. to Noon at National
Presbyterian Church and will continue to meet throughout the summer
months. For more information please contact James Cubie, a member of the
RI’s Company of Teachers, jamesfcubie@gmail.com. |
